"Kay Ave Barn"
This barn used to live next door to me and was the original barn to this farm. After the property was broken up it was no longer used very much. It was finally pulled down to make way for new homes. I loved that barn and hated to see it go. I particularly liked the view from the north end which was in shadow on that sunny day. It was haunting and sad as the light peeked through the old shingles. The wild black berries had taken over the east side while wild oats and teasel encroach in the foreground. If it could tell tales it would brag about all the cows that were fed there and the hay stored for winter feed. It was proud to shelter owls and bats and all kinds of little critters for over 140 years.
